Bernies Double Cheeseburger Double Patty 🐂🐂 Onion🌰 Sauce💦 So after doing the ‘maxi bowral classic’ bike ride and not eating burgers for the better part of 1 month/very sparingly over the last 3, it was time for a treat! The southern highlands, renown for wine and well rolling hills – burgers not so much, so I investigated and found Bernie’s at moss vale. Cool vibe, completely didn’t think it would be like a local shop should be.American diner – keen to see what they had to offer. Server was super friendly and well into his burgers and advised well! I hit up the double cheese and added bacon. Regrettably after sitting down, I didn’t realise that a milk bun wasn’t standard, as this is what let the burger down. The patties were more a heavier mince type, which had a good taste, but cooked all the way through. Thick cut, not too much char. Onion was good, and was diced. Bacon was good, not crispy AF, but added good element to burger. Overall if you are in the area, totally make the trip, and maybe try something more gourmet as they say!
