Burger Grand Master I

At a Christian conference at Hoxton Park this week so a chance to grab another burger from Cali. First time trying their chicken burger, this one with hot BBQ sauce which didn't hit right...no spice kick, no tang, just meh. Cos lettuce also isn't my first pick for green on burgers...no green is preferred haha. Everything else is solid, delish fried chicken that tears off nicely, they pack everything in that 'in-and-out' style foil wrapping and it holds the burger in from start to finish with no mess :-)

You can't go wrong with Cali burgers, the double is just the right amount for lunch and while the lettuce is a tad too much, the cheese melt and sauce kicks in and you're in burger-heaven for awhile :-)

Back in Wollongong for a beach day out, tried Bourke St Burgers again. It has all the makings of a good burger but they just can't nail the patty. It just tastes bland. Could be better but not bad for a burger by the sea.

First time trying Betty's in Parramatta and it passes with flying colours. Both patties are packed with goodness, bacon was plentiful and the sauce and mustard made this go down smooth. I know Parramatta is blessed with other unicorn-standard burger joints but it's good to have more options hehe.

Early Aussie day celebrations with Blame Australia. Can't go wrong with the delicious beef, cheese and generous lashings of bacon. The meat-pie poutine sauce made things even more juicy towards the end, meat-pie gravy vibes with the beef was a nice touch. I still prefer Blame Canada though hehe

Out with high school friends at OutBack Steakhouse. Their burgers are okay, nothing special but it ticks all the boxes. Patty was cooked nicely, had that chargrilled taste, the bloomin fried onion rings were good too. Bloomin Sauce was your standard 'burger sauce' fare. But it's all over in a flash and you're left a little more hungry hehe. Could do a lot worse.

For those who want a burger in Alexandria and don't wanna wait at The Grounds, you can't go wrong with COOH. Their organic beef burger is a slight step above the cafe norm of burgers, with a nice cheese melt on their crumbled beef patty that does taste divine, wish there was more of it haha. Also plenty of salad to have that healthy feels too
