Burger Grand Master III

interesting burger, when it came out the nduja butter looked like that orange coloured cardboard paper you can get from officeworks. it was a long flat thin slice of butter that resembled pieces of cheese stuck together. eventually the chicken heat melts it. understandably then this is the most buttery burger i habe had. hounds butter fingers doesnt really taste like butter to me but this has that intense richness. its almost too much but the roasted peppers do a great job balancing it. the only meat is chicken but that nduja butter really makes it feel like theres salami in there. tasty, interesting but at times slightly too buttery.

been seeing heaps of photos of this place from a certain first place contributor and they always look amazing. mega.n.eats has had some pretty good looking shots taken here too. I also remember the chicken at belfield being amazing with a light maple flavour. no idea where this chook came from. doesnt look like anything eat my buns has sent out before or other reviewer photos. its a huge chicken which is good but like a few I've had lately is crumbed more like a schnitty. the truffle sauce tasted alot like tartar sauce which was very odd. wasnt a fan of the lettuce.

weirdest hash browns ever. almost look like tater tots. beef here is abit nicer than from the container. pickles and burger sauce also pretty good. overall pretty consistent with Belfield.

feel like the guy making this just relived the simpsons scene where Homer tries to make a bbq. "burger de poulet frit! what the hell is that?" "ahhh that's a fine looking fried chicken burger" lowers the photo of X-Ray_Mike review. "why the hell doesn't mine look like that??" no cheese melt, a thin af schnitzel instead of the standard fried chicken, shambles. there was more slaw on this thing than meat. granted, the slaw wasn't bad. took the chicken off and changed my lunch from burger to schnitty. its a decent little schnitty. usually cafe chicken burgers are better than beef for me but here the beef was an easy winner for me.

that beef patty hanging by a thread as bad as my stomach from the burger abuse its copped lately. sd beef isnt my favourite but today they nailed the smashed patty. biscoff can be abit intense but with this burger, the middle where everything meets was perfection. the regular bun is better.

This burger definitely isn't a 2. Its a 4 for the taste. In a normal review I'd be saying its quite nice but the chicken is abit too small. the buns arent toasted so they dont get any softness either. other than that its your average tasting burger. After building up an appetite putting on a happy gilmore-esque performance at aqua golf, this was the only place open in the hours i was in the area. The organisation was pure shit. Took 45 minutes for the food to come out. I'd understand if it was busy but there was one other group of people and they were already eating when we got in. The waitress could sense the levels of bs so to her credit she did get us free drinks for waiting. once the food did come out the full order didnt come out. waited for abit thinking she couldnt carry everything. the burgers were tiny so it only took two minutes to finish. when she asked if we want dessert to come out now and I asked isn't this other burger coming there was clear confusion on her face even though we said don't need fries as the extra burgers should be enough. my mate got the og social which was my other order. if i knew mine wasnt coming would have reviewed his 🤣 his onion rings still had the skin on too so maybe better mine didnt come. all in all, there are a shitload of better options in penrith.

this was yum but became overwhelming at a certain point. the waffles are soft and have a light sugar coating, theres maple syrup in there, the chicken is cornflake crumbed. basically this is dessert. the biggest issue is the ratio of waffle to chicken. you need another chicken because it is quite thin. the cornflake coating though is so crunchy. A fat hounds chicken with this coating and those waffles would go off.

bloody delicious burger from a very unassuming little restaurant. the use of the hash brown is a great way to prevent this from just being a pile of softness, adds that much needed firm texture. this mac n cheese was insanely good. you can see the strings of cheese stretch in the photo. it is also a very nice blend of cheeses. guessing one of them is parmesan as it had that very sharp taste. the cheese also kept all the mac glued together and gooey which for me is essential with mac and cheese. the brisket tastes great but again, as in previous revious I think having it sliced would bring this up so much.
