Burger Grand Master II

Nice to have a decent burg within a few mins drive of my place. I’ve always been a fan of Originals and the chicken burgers is my go to. The combo of BBQ and Blue cheese sauce is always a winner

As expected, a collab between TBC and Alvin Cailan that has The Madman at the helm is bound to deliver the goods (pun intended) After eating my body weight in Nashville of late, this was a welcome change. The coating is super light and crispy like tempura and the chicken was super juicy. When I saw the promo photos I was baffled by the cheese being under and slaw being above, but it actually worked to melt the cheese throughout the meal. I even ate a bunch of the slaw which says a lot for its freshness and taste. Will be working my way through the rest of the menu of the next 2 weeks for sure

Unfortunately not nearly what it once was. The truffle Mayo still has a great flavour, the bacon was well cooked and the onion rings were pretty good but they’ve downgraded the beef massively. 90% sure they’ve gone to the frozen hockey puck patty that you see from RSLs etc. was tough, dry and sad...

Ahhhh Chef’s Kitchen. One of my all time favourite spots and one of the OGs in the scene. Ordered a Meaty Ménage and added fried chicken (it’s a fucking belter) Incredible flavours and perfectly cooked meets from Charles the master 👌🏽 The only thing stopping this from being a 5/5 was the bun was a bit hard, but still one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. Always have and always will rate Chef’s in my top 5 and this cemented that even further

Continues to deliver on every level and maintains itself as one of the best cheeseburgers ever.

Finally got a chance to hit up Big Ray’s when out west with Ross_Kemp_on_Burgers I went for the truffle 100, but the owner was super accomodating in just adding truffle Mayo to a standard cheeseburger so I got a nice and simple little package. Service was friendly, burgers were cooked nice and quick and they were great! Didn’t really have any expectations coming here, which I think is actually better when trying a new spot. 150gram beef patty was cooked well. Nice crust and good quality beef, nice cheese melt and the truffle Mayo was bloody banging! Brioche bun was good, I think I would have preferred to have a crack at this on a milk or potato bun if there was an option.

I’ve been recommended Little L for years and I’m pretty annoyed I never listened until now. This was how Ogalo and Oporto should be. The chicken tastes fresher, the sauces are nice and not just lumped onto the centre and the flavours worked well together. I’m not typical big on grilled chicken burgers, but this was a ripper

It’s been way too long since I’ve been to the place where it all began... Bar Luca Kieran and I opted for a Speared Pig each (mine without the pickle spears) plus some scallops and fries (Bar Luca makes some of the best scallops I’ve EVER eaten) Oh to the burger. Luca beef, bloody amazing! Pulled pork, succulent as fuck and packed full of flavour. Curly fries crunchy and salty and the chipotle bbq sauce was bloody banging. Not a lot bad I can say about this burger. Would bang again
