Burger Grand Master I
Wrote a review •
Came here after the India VS Australia cricket match and had to pay tribute to this week’s special - and one of my all-time favorites: The Blame India. Smashed this one and was still hungry so I got the Blame Canada too. After getting last week’s Big Blame special, I decided to get the OG as my second burgee. As always, the first bite was an explosion of flavor in my mouth, with the juicy patty complimented by the maple aioli and soft milk bun. This burger keeps me coming back here again and again

Smashed this one and was still hungry so I got the Blame Canada too. So glad to see this one back on the menu - even if it’s for just one week only. As always the taste of the butter chicken and mint yoghurt aoli makes this one a winner. I just wish there was more of it on the burger. The times I’ve had this in the past and LOVED it, it was smothered in sauce and became messy to eat. Otherwise this one has no flaws.

Although I would have loved to try the Nashville Chicken Burger at Super Nash Brothers for the very first time as I humbly make my way up to the Burger Grand Master I ranks, it was quite fitting that the team at Loaded by BL released this weeks special of the Double Blame. I’ve eaten more Blames than any other burger out there and never had the chance to try this beauty. Worth the trip out to Newtown for this one since BL Burgers (Darlinghurst) is closed for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. This one isn’t for the faint of hearts. Absolute massive burger, and for the price of $24, it’s absolutely worth it. The added fried cheese in the middle makes this one quite heavy and impossible to bite into the whole burger but with all the added gravy and fries, the flavours are perfect. The only thing holding this back from a unicorn is the bacon was a tad overcooked. But that aside - my god - this is one special to make happen this week.

TBC fam - I’m one burger away from making it to the elite level of Burger Grand Master. Any recs on which burger joint and burger(s) I should have to celebrate this milestone?

Decided to come to BL Burgers after another food joint I wanted to hit up was already closed for the night. Got here before last call and that prob skewed this burger a bit. The Blame Canada will always hold a special place in my heart (belly?!) but today was a bit in the disappoint end. The milk bun was a bit stale and the burger needed more poutine and syrup. It also didn’t hold up well from the initial grab, which is why I could get a solid pic for the Feed. Per usual, I still smashed it tho :)

Went to the Grounds in the City today for a business lunch and the crew got burgers. I couldnt resist to get one myself - and of course had to make mine a double. Not gonna lie - this place does a solid burger. Really good beef with beautiful seasoning. The potato bun was toasted perfectly and the Smokey relish and cheddar go so well together. It’s a bit on the pricey side at $30 for the extra patty (+$5) but would absolutely recommend this to others.

Decided to come here tonight for a bit of an appetiser before my dinner reservations at Outback Steakhouse (or was this my main meal and Outback Steakhouse the dessert?!) Either way, decided to get two burgers since I was in the area and have always wanted to try this place. I ended up getting the O. G. Truffle and the Stoners Revenge. Overall this is a good burger but I was generally disappointed. Got this one as is with no hacks and I was immediately delighted by the buns. Honestly - they’re some of the best in the game! The first bite was incredible - as this is one of the few times I’ve ever had peanut butter on a burger. When combined with that bun it’s as if I made a peanut butter sandwich and had flashbacks to my childhood! But what killed this one was the beef. It was quite over cooked and when added to the texture of the potato chip it became too dry. Might give this place one more shot but tbh it didn’t live up to the hype.

The cheese was also SO good but the beef was lacking. Certainly overcooked today and the only way to add some moisture to it was to ensure I wiped up all the truffle mayo. Might give this place one more shot but tbh it didn’t live up to the hype.
