20/9/19 8bit is a perpetually solid option for efficient service of satisfying, presentable, no frills burgers that aren’t at all over the top. For $13, the Golden Axe is a generous offering with a huge lump of chicken breast, coated in a crispy batter, rather than southern fried breading style that every man and his dog is offering to mixed results. It’s a crunchy and melt in your mouth coating with a hint of spice. Thinly shredded coleslaw drenched in sriracha mayo that actually retains some heat rather than just being “orange mayo” rounds out a really enjoyable burger.

Amazing taste with the smoky flavour of grilled chicken is just an add-on for free ❤️

First burger for my week long Melbourne trip. Ordered the Golden Axe with added bacon. Initial thoughts were the lighting was extremely bright. Made for excellent pics though. Love the idea of the burger in the little box. First time having a burger like this. Stops you eating too much of the top bun or bottom bun. Chicken was juicy and the sauce was divine. Think we may make a return here before our week is out. Keep burging on!

💥🐥Crispy fried chicken 🧀Cheese 🌶️💦Sriracha mayo 🥕🥬💧Slaw The chicken had a nice even spice to it, was juicy inside and crunchy out, and went really well with the sauce and slaw. I wasn't expecting it to taste quite so good! The slaw was finely sliced so wasn't too bulky on the burger and the mayo was in abundance but not too hot. The cheese was nicely melted and the bun was soft. My favourite 8bit burger so far.
