Another Beauty from BL; who never let me down! -Charred Onion & Beetroot relish; a super tasty hot-pink addition (even if I’m not that into beetroot) -Meat Pie poutine; could have had a bit more ‘meat’ but it boosted the ooey-gooey-goodess we‘ve come to love in a ‘Blame’ burger -Bacon was crispy AF which was a nice change in texture from said ooey-gooey-goodness. All in all a lovely burger experience.... but will never beat the all-holy ‘Blame Canada‘. So guess I should really thank Raj, (poor poppet got offended by the name of a burger....🤷🏼‍♀️ FML/this worlds going straight to hell)

🥩BL Beef Patty 🧀Cheddar Cheese 💦Charred Onion and Beetroot Relish 🥓Streaky Bacon 🥧Meat Pie Poutine 💦BBQ Mayo 🍞BL Milk Bun     Had high hopes for this and it delivered, not too sweet like Blame Canada, this was juuuusst right.  That relish was amazing, I love beetroot especially in burgers and this was the best use of beetroot yet, it was chunky but it delivered that sweet hit.  Meat pie poutine was soft and tender, my burger was overflowing with it and it was amazing.  Bacon was crispy and patty was pink inside, I was licking my fingers afterwards from the bbq mayo, that was divine.  The burger that wasn’t made in 2019 has arrived in 2020, lock this in for next year’s All Stars week

First burgers 🍔 back in Sydney from returning from holiday in the States! Had to come to Bar Luca with the boys to start off the year right. Went with one of my go-to burgers - the Blame Canada. Only got this one as a single and def regret not making it a double. Well executed by the chef tonight - beautiful ratio of flavours and the poutine was on point. Highly recommend as always. PS - apologies for the dimly lit pic. There was poor lighting the bar and I wasn’t going to be THAT guy and use flash

First burgers 🍔 back in Sydney since my holiday in the States! Overall this one was a bit of a disappointment, although I should have expected it. The flavour of peanut butter on a burger tastes as weird as it sounds. I found the PB to be too thick and chunky and certain bites were nearly all PB. Other times the flavour of the honey stood out the most. The one thing I was very impressed with was the quality of the bird...so juicy and perfectly cooked tonight. Would not recommend this one though. PS - apologies for the dimly lit pic. There was poor lighting the bar and I wasn’t going to be THAT guy and use flash

🍗🍗Double fried chicken thigh 🧀Natural cheddar 🥓Streaky bacon 🥜Crunchy peanut butter 🍯Island beehive stringy bark honey   Last week I was told of this week’s special featuring honey from Kangaroo Island, with stocks depleted due to the tragic fires this is a way to not only support a devastated community but also try some of the most unique honey in Australia! I prefer chicken thigh and knew this would be a winner, chicken was thick with crunchy coating, cheese melted the more I ate into the burger, bacon was proper crispy, the stuff you hope you get every time.  Peanut butter was nutty with proper crunch, really separated all the flavours making each stand out on their own.  I like honey with sweet food, but this is an exception, the honey was rich without being too rich, it was everywhere and dripped which made for a nice sauce with each bite.  This is a simple burger especially after All Stars week but it leaves you satisfied.

Flavours were really nice and worked well together however, I didn't get much "flame". Unfortunately the chicken was overcooked and rubbery which was really dissapointing.

The flavours in this tie in so well. They really, really work together and each individual element was spot on. But my chicken tasted overcooked and rubbery, and was very disappointing. It would have been a 5 for sure!!

This was my favourite Bar Luca special from last year; it didn’t 100% live up to my memory of it but damn she goood. The cold jam was a little weird on the top, would have been better if it was slightly warmer. Good levels of spice in this bad boy as well. Only good thing to come out of last season of Game of Thrones if I’m honest.
