Enjoyed this little number, was my first time at Betty’s and wasn’t expecting much. I added extra chicken and it still felt like a little snack. Chicken was crispy n nice tho sauce was good too. Big ol lettuce leaf for the aesthetic too

Oh wow, this went down easier than a tinder date...and all over in less than two minutes. For those other Betty virgins, the Classic is a simple smashed patty cheeseburger with tomato, green leaves, onion and a Big Mac style sauce. I really rate this and only $10!!! While you can’t see it from my 11pm ‘impaired’ photo taking ability, the smashed patty was caramelised, pink inside and super juicy. Combine the crunch of the salad and a unique sauce, it came together beautifully. I will be sneaking another before I depart SA.

Betty’s is pretty widespread around the east coast and they hold their own against a lot of the big names. With a still up and coming burger scene in Adelaide not quite satisfying a spoilt former Sydney-sider, the early 2019 opening of a Betty’s restaurant in Adelaide’s East End is a godsend for me. Adelaide’s burger scene is growing, but Betty’s automatically is a Top 2 burger joint in Adelaide and crowds are flocking to the new hot thing in town. Fortunately the quality is as good a the stores on the East Coast.
