🍔🍔 Frankenstein 🍔🍔 * Grass Fed Aussie Beef Smashed Patty * Streaky Bacon * Melted Cheddar Cheese * Battered Onion Rings * Smokey BBQ Sauce * Aioli * Relish * Lettuce * 4.5" Wholemeal Bun I was in two minds walking into Burger Doctor in Newtown. I knew around the corner there was one of the best in the business and almost a certain awesome burger if I went there. Then on the other hand I wanted to give Burger Doctor a go and notch up another verfield venue visit on The Burger Collective app. Also I had Loaded the day before so I took that into consideration. The first thing I noticed when I got my burger was the bloody bun. WTF are Burger Doctor thinking using a large wholemeal bun??? If they used a milk, potato or brioche bun the experience would be A LOT better. That's just my opinion and maybe their regular customers prefer the wholemeal bun. 🙄 The rest of the burger was okay and the patty was not too shabby even if it was a little overcooked. The onion rings provided some crunch and the bacon was tasty without blowing me away. Overall it was okay and it was better then what I was expecting. Burger Doctor is definitely not on the same level as Loaded by BL, but also not a train wreck. With a few tweaks to the ingredients list on this burger it could reach a solid four score.

Burger Doctor has renamed this one... 🧟♂️Frankenstein🧟♂️ ⛳🐄Grass fed Aussie beef 🧀Cheddar 🥓Bacon 🍅Tomato 🥬Lettuce ⭕Onion rings 💦BBQ sauce 💧Relish 🥚Aioli I was about to order a chicken burger when I noticed the glorious word 'smashed' on the menu and decided beef was the better option. While the patty was thicker and a little too well done, it had an excellent crust on it and tasted great. The melt was good though the cheese wasn't amazing, but that bacon was tasty AF. The onion rings were super crispy and lent some crunchy texture throughout. Everything else was nice and fresh but Burger Doctor would massively benefit from emulating Burgerfuel's garlic aioli on its burgs. The burger as a whole didn't blow me away but the combo of the patty, bacon and onion rings justifies a return visit.
