one from the backlog. had this all the way back yesterday. pit stop to the central coast and got to flaunt hounds to some mates who were saying chubby buns are the best burgs in sydney. safe to say minds were changed. with the special sold out it was time to play around with hounds menu. Butterfingers on rice bubble chicken with spiced honey coating. the butter is scooped into the chicken like ice cream and eventually melts. mine has always completely melted before i get to the table but this time it held together well stayed soft but firm. everything was fantastic, almost perfect. might recommend going jalapeno instead of pickle.

Had to come back after a week, it was so good last time. I prefer the southern fried chicken compared to this but still this burger is fantastic. The Uber butter is so addictive such a flavour bomb, perfect balance of sweet and savoury. I did really like the crunch of the chicken coating though, very unique. Pickles were great. Just a simple but jam packed burger.

Travelled an hour up north to try this place, been wanting to for months and finally made it. This burger was an absolute beast. So rich, an umami bomb and the messiest burger I’ve ever had, but it was a joy to demolish it. The Uber butter is something unimaginable so decadent, saucy, starting off as a whole piece than melting into a flood of flavour. The chicken was massive, crunchy, juicy and hot as. Perfect for this weather, definitely worth the trip, will be coming back when the weathers a bit better. I feel like I’ve been showered in sauce, never experienced this feeling before, so good.

Sorry for the shat photo. Was very hungry. This is amazing!! There’s not much in it and there’s doesn’t need to be. Of course the chicken is amazing but that butter! Can’t believe how good this butter is. Only downside is that others want a bite of your burger Maybe I’ll try this with bacon next time?? Will have this again.

Where the hell is all the butter hiding lol bottom of the box soaked and I placed my burger on the box for a shot and it got soaked but the bun was completely fine. So messy but so tasty, enough butter on there to wipe the wall like in the Simpsons and turn it into clear glass 😂

just as good as the unaltered version. as fun as dipping the burger is in a pool of uberbutter it would be nuts if it was thick enough to stay in the burger. just like drinking the remaining milk from a cereal bowl i find myself reduced to looking like a monkey wanting to lick every last drop out of the box.

This is SO freakin messy. I could eat a million of these though; the chicken from Hounds is huge. A much thinner coating than what you would find elsewhere but cooked perfectly. Uber butter is sick; a sweet, salty, buttery juice that gets absolutely fudging everywhere. Bring napkins.

Oh boy, was this baby GOOD! The chicken was tender and juicy, and we’re so glad we switched to the rice bubble coating which added a hint of sweetness and was crispy AF. The miso and maple flavour of the über butter was a thing of angels! In fact, we wouldn’t have minded if it was even slightly more intense. The burger got better and better as we ate, with the rich butter soaking in and drenching the chicken and bun. The generous spread of aioli along with the pickles helped to balance the burger, however there could have been a few more pickles (or even a pickle topper) to add some further acidity. Damn, another simple yet delicious burger from Burger Hounds! PS. Not sure why it looks so tiny in my giant monster hand - this was a solid burger!
