The once almighty Chicken & Sons is dead if this burger is anything to go by. The bun was crap and cold, the lettuce was crap and boring, the bacon was crap and undercooked, the cheese was crap and placed on at the very end, the chicken was crap and dry and very small compared to my past visits. Plus the coating was way too crunchy that it almost chipped my teeth. Only positive was that the tomato was fresh and the tortilla chips were tasty. Even the hot sauce wasn't hot. Definitely my last visit to C&S at Lilyfield. This crappy burger came with very ordinary fries and cost me $23. I tried talking to the chef/cook about it, but he was too 'busy' to notice me waiting, so I just left.

Sure, this was one tasty burger, but has anyone ever watched Man Vs Food on TLC? This felt a little like that. The chicken is seasoned quite well and plentiful in size, but going the double on this was just ludicrous. I ended up forfeiting the traditional “double fist” grip and just ate the burger layer by layer, wallowing in my defeat. This is one hell of a tasty burg but the sheer difficulty in eating it (user error) hurt its rating. Definitely worth checking out this joint and getting a pint whilst you’re there 🍻

C & S signature fried chicken Beef Maple bacon Cheese Pickles C & S burger sauce Chipotle aioli Everything that’s good about C & S in one top burger. Chicken - phat and crispy, beef - real good beef for a chicken place. Nice char covered in American. Bacon - sweet, plenty of it. Pickles are always good here, sweet, plenty of em. Sauces are tasty as well. Can’t ask for much more.

Some strong flavours here, definitely lucky i came with an empty stomach. Chicken is pretty big, only downside it felt abit too oily and salty but a heaps filthy feed in the best way possible. That black truffle stuff had some pretty intense flavour, destroyed the buns they got really soggy. Fun and filling meal all up.

🍔🍔 I'm On Smoko 🍔🍔 * Double Angus Beef Patties * Maple Bacon * Beer Battered & Crumbed Onion Rings * Smoke Caramelised Onions * American Cheddar * Bourbon BBQ Sauce * Jalapeńos * Milk Bun Beef burger at Chicken & Sons? Hell yeah! A couple juicy fat patties with a nice crust and plenty of crispy delicious bacon. Plus the caramelised onions were outstanding. I can't remember having this when it was first released, but I'm glad I got it this time around. Great flavours in a burger that was cooked nicely.

Bloody good chicken. Thick buttermilk coating, well seasoned, a little cheese melt and a fresh slaw. Add in some optional maple bacon for extra protein and you’ve got one tasty chicken burger. Very well executed and delicious to the last bite 🐓🤤🤙🏻

👀🥑Avonly Have Thighs For You!🥑👀 🍗 2 Jalapeño Brined Fried Thighs 🍋 Lime Mayo 🥑 Smashed Chunky Guac 🌶 Fresh Jalapeño Bloody hell what a fricken beast 😍. When you're looking to smash multiple burgers, this one certainly knocks the wind out of your sail. 2 huge crunchy AF chicken thighs and absolutely banging with flavours. I may not be the biggest fan of avocado but I do love guacamole lol. Strongs flavours in both the guac and lime mayo which worked beautifully together. Fresh jalapenos was a nice touch, although this isn't really spicy it was an absolute treat to eat.

I can't say enough good things about the specials being churned out by C&S lately. Honestly you gotta try them if you're real burg nut. Chicken was awesome and crunchy as usual, I've never seen their level falter. Like their other specials this one was super generous and full of innovative flavors. Not as spicy as the Occajun but still plenty of heat for mild palates from the jalapeños and jalapeño brined chicken thighs. The lime mayo and guac were a perfect match. Just another solid fiver!
