THE BROOKLYN 🥩 Grilled Beef Patty 🧀🧀 Double Cheese 🌶️🥚 Chipotle Chilli Mayo 🌶️ Jalapenos 🥒🥚 Gherkin Mayonnaise ☘️ Iceburg Lettuce Thought I would try a chilli beef burger, today. For what it is worth, I suspect I ordered during a busy time, but once again the quality of food at Five Points Burgers has gone down a peg. The beef is cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside, and pinkish in the inside. It's just the way I like it, and I can't stress enough that Five Points Burgers do a good patty. It is in the extras that this burger fell apart. Firstly, the chipotle chilli mayo. I mean, it was definitely there. I could detect a bit of heat. It was so minor, my gran would have no trouble with this one. I thought I might have been detecting the jalapenos, but on eating one by itself, I can confirm the jalapenos had the sweet - but none of the hot. If measuring up purely on hotness, this burger is an absolute failure. I liked the gherkin mayo, when I could taste it. Unfortunately, this was not very often. It is a real surprise that app of the condiments had such little taste - my burger was almost falling apart, out if the box, due to the sauce. All in all, it was not a bad tasting burger - but for what it was suppose to be, and for how much these guys charge, it was a severe disappointment. Little can be said for the sides. They only sell fries. They were soggy and a quarter ended up in the bin. Don't tell me Nan.

Work lunch. Not a lot of chicken on this but that tomato and chilli sauce and the gherkin mayo is spot on. Could be an epic burger if you swapped the chicken out for two beef patties I reckon as everything provides a great flavour combo.

Five Points was one of the burger joints that started all for me. I remember lining up for half an hour, 2-3 days a week for 12 months to get that sweet, cheesy goodness. They recently changed hands and the business is going through a bit of a reinvigoration so it was time to revisit after about 2 years. The menu is still the same, the same 5 burgers but they do ‘em pretty bloody well. I got The Brooklyn which has a bit of hit to it thanks to the jalapeños and chipotle. The beef was cooked well, the cheese was interesting, couldn’t quite put our fingers on it and the new owners weren’t all that keen to share! Worth checking out if you haven’t been or haven’t been in a while, try and avoid lunchtime though, or you’ll be lining up for a while! Oh and their chips have chicken salt, so yeah, get on it.

Disappointing... bread was stale, meat wasn’t even really warm. Flavours were good though, just needed more filling. The jalapeño gerkin Mayo was the business, I prefer my burgers with more sauce though. Was a bit dry.

THE BRONX 🥩 Grilled Beef Patty 🧀🧀 Double Cheese 🥓 Bacon 🌰🍯 Onion Jam 🍅💦 Tomato Sauce 🥒 Pickles 🇱🇷💦 American Mustard 🍀 Iceburg Lettuce 🌰💦 Aioli Having tried The Queens, I felt like I had to give The Bronx a try, and see how Five Points Burgers goes at making the classic hamburger. I've got to say, it was a great burger, but there was room for improvement. The first thing I noticed was that the bun was soggy. I did have it delivered, so you can expect that kind of problem. The Queens had the same issue, I just forgot all about it when I bit into the burger. The beef was nice and succulent, with a dash of red; just how I like it. However, the beef was flavourless, which was a little disappointing. With the tomato, mustard and pickles there is a lot of flavour to this burger; but I felt a bit of flavour in the beef could have made a really big difference in how enjoyable this burger was - maybe even the difference between being a good burger, and one of the best burgers. There was a good handful of pickles on the burger, but I found myself missing the bolder taste of the pickle relish found on The Queen. If you like your pickles, I would highly recommend asking them to Chuck some of their pickle relish onto it. Looking back at the ingredients, I feel someone it might have been missing. the bacon was nice and crunchy, but I honestly couldn't tell you if there was actually aioli on it. The same goes for the onion jam, but mostly because I can confirm that there were regular onions.on it, despite not being on the ingredient list or added by myself. I got the chips, again. They are your only side option, apart from salad. They were enjoyable, but a little soggy, and not the golden perfection I was served with The Queen.

THE QUEENS 🍞 Grilled Chicken Breast 🥓 Bacon 🧀 Cheese 🍅 Tomato 🍀 Iceburg Lettuce 🌶️ Chilli Sauce 🥒 Gherkin Mayonnaise 🍟 Side: Chips I wasn't sure what to expect with this burger. I remember ordering from Five Points Burgers , before, but for the life of me I could not remember what I ordered, or if I liked it. However, I was surprised by just how good this burger was. While I was initially disappointed that I could not get a pickle on it (they don't offer customisation on Uber), the gherkin mayonnaise ensured every bite had that pickle flavour I've grown to love. The chicken breast was a bit on the small side. In fact, I still had a good quarter of my.burger left, and it was gone. However, all the other ingredients came together so well that it really didn't matter - those last few bites we're still delicious. I did not realise it had chilli on it. Perhaps they forgot.. perhaps it was just really mild. I am a bit of a chilli lover, but at the same time, I do not think a stronger chilli taste would have worked well on the burger. I got chips as the side..since it is the only side they offer (at least, on Uber). At first, I was disappointed that there were no other options (because salad does not count). But again, my disappointment was soon excused by how well these chips we're done. Every single one was perfectly crunchy. All in all, a great feed. I feel like I will have to try their other burgers, even though I'm not much of a beef fan.

Repost: Five points is def the spot to hit up if you're in nth syd and need to cure your burger cravings. I took the lettuce off and ate it separately as it had no place being there and I added the Portobello mushroom which was mad as it gave it a nice sauted mushie flavour and added some more depth and texture. Beef was very yummy and bacon was decent but was more like your standard run of the mill bacon. They didn't have a QR code and had no idea about TBC which was a bummer.

Good burger but a bit small and not super filling. They are no longer honoring The Burger Collective special here and they weren't very helpful when asked. Sauce was wicked nice but would probably get something a bit bigger and more filling next time, if i have to eat around north sydney
