This is actually for their current special; The Naughty Canadian Goodtime's take on Blame Canada haha...it's actually one of their better specials, I didn't follow my own advice and went double again...UGH! But the poutine gravy mixed in with the dense patties made this easier and nicer to endure, I was a few bites away from finishing this beast.

A night out with church friends, another chance to try out something from the Goodtime Burgers Menu...I'm up to Royal with Cheese. I went double cos why not, and I regretted as soon as I saw it. The cheese didn't melt as much as I'd liked, but it's those dense patties that made eating this burger a choice. Yeah they were thick, but they weren't anything to write home about. Decent burger, but I'd recommend sticking to one patty burgers and let the sauces do their thing.

First time trying their fried chicken burger and this one was solid. Cheesy waterfall and liquid gold sauce was delish (though a lot of it fell onto the bacon) and the fried chicken wasn't the best, but it was consistently crunchy and with the slaw (just the right amount, no overload for the soggy bun here) made for a decent chicken burger.

Just do yourself a favor and save your money and time. Otherwise if you feel this score is too harsh go try and be the judge. I know what soft shell tastes like and this ain’t it. I waited so long to try this special that I went double, but I could have stacked to 5 and it wouldn’t have mattered. The deep fried soft shell crabs were really deep fried air bubbles. The fried avocado ball on top was tasteless and crummy. The caramelized shallots and smashed avo between the buns were nowhere to be found. Aioli tasted like mayo, why not go tartare in a crab burger? Oh right cause there was no crab to start with. The buns and fries were store bought rubbish simply prepared within a min. Other places do that too but they know how make it taste good. They get 0.5 because the lettuce was fresh and on point I suppose. If you don’t agree with me God bless you but we live on different burger planets.

Good time burgers? More like mediocre time burgers. If you do want to try this place I recommend only going on Wednesday’s and getting the $5 burgers, would not pay more than this for their burgers.
