The Ivan Drago 🍔 Happened to be in Melbourne and stubbled across this place. It Is up a set of stairs which is a little hidden away but is in fact a very cool little joint . Even on a weeknight, there were plenty of burger lovers giving this place a workout. Good start! Unlike the namesake in Rocky IV, the Ivan Drago just isn’t quite a knockout! Look, it’s a very nice burger but it just doesn’t hit the mark in my books. The patty is okay in that it was well cooked. The black tomato is a bit weird and I’m still not sure if I liked or needed that on the burg. On a plus side, the beetroot gave it a great moistness that I personally am a fan of. And the brioche bun is a winning idea. But still I left a bit underwhelmed. The place itself is cool with some great beers on tap. Worth a visit!

Even though it was 10.30pm and I'd already had two dinners, I couldn't NOT get a second burger 😂😂 Same great beef as the KSA, but with added cheese kransky and chilli relish. Another big hit... although I'm not a massive fan of the toasted brioche. P.S. Wifey highly rated the Oreo loaded waffles.

First time in Melbourne, and I'm staying across the road from this place. Had to get their basic burger; a cheesy with onion/lettuce/tomato. Was pretty happy with how tasty the beef was, and they nailed the slightly pink centre. Pretty solid first Melbourne burg.

Burger # 2 of the Melbourne trip 🐄Two premium Aussie beef patties 🧀double American cheddar cheese 🌰caramelised onion 🌶jalapeños 🥒sliced pickles 🍅American mustard & tomato sauce 🍔toasted brioche bun Hacked with a Mac and cheese croquette Hmmm... This burger left me wondering (a few yeast infused bevies didn't help my decision making). While coming together as a great feed, the beef was three different types of cow however the grind was super coarse. This made it a bit chewy in the bite...I wasn't sold but the compensating factor was that the flavour was on point... I'm being picky. Similarly the patties weren't smashed... This would have helped. The rest of the 🍔 was very good and the addition of the silky smooth Mac and cheese croquette was a must. The jalapeños added a touch of heat, with the acidity the benefactor. Overall a nice beefy burger packed with flavour.

Was in melb for the weekend so had a few burger joints in mind to hit up. Atomic looked the most appealing on the menu with the kransky sausage and onions and boy it delivered. Think of the best sausage sizzle youve ever had on top of a perfectly cooked patty and this is the atomic. Sesame brioche buns were top notch too.

It’s been a couple months since I last dropped in to GTP, but it’s exactly as I remember. Amazing buzz, cool set up and solid food and drinks. As almost always, I went for the Atomic: Australian beef patty American cheddar Caramelised onion Chilli cheese kransky Streaky bacon BBQ sauce Truffle cayenne mayonnaise Brioche bun The execution on this burger is always bang on, you can taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. The patty is juicy and nicely seasoned. Chilli cheese kransky isn’t overly spicy but adds a nice addition to the beef and finishing with a dream combo of BBQ sauce & Truffle aioli. My only negative was the bacon could have been crispier but thats just pulling hairs. A solid burger from one of Melbourne’s top spots. A must visit for anyone passing through.
