+ Fried Chicken + Cheese + Nashville HOT Sauce Decided to get a burger for lunch, working near Crows Nest has its bonuses, so many burger places to try! So I started with here, got their signature burger as people on here said this was there best. Adding extra chicken and hot sauce was a great choice, the chicken was flat and long yet still was crispy and juicy, the Nashville Hot Sauce was actually hot, not super hot but still good, everything was fresh on this burger and delicous, I was very surprised!

THE JOHNNY BURGER "The Johnny's signature. It's pretty obvious why they changed their name to 'Johnny Bird', because this thing is fucking amazing." - πŸ—πŸ—πŸ—πŸ— Fried Chicken (EXTRA: Doubled Up) - πŸ₯’πŸ₯’ Pickles - πŸ€β˜˜οΈ Coleslaw - πŸ…πŸ’¦ Tomato Relish - 🌢️πŸ₯š Chipotle Mayo - πŸ§€ EXTRA: Cheese - πŸ₯“ EXTRA: Bacon - πŸ₯’πŸ₯’ SIDE: Fried Pickles It is always a treat, when I order from Johnny's; whether it be their awesome chicken burgers, or their unusual sides. Being just down the road from work, I use to love going here for lunch. Great to see them on Uber, as it's difficult for me to get out of the office during the day. As always, it was a great burger, though there were a few minor things that could have been done better. First, I packed the burger out a bit more than I normally would; I was hungry, and about an hour of going out drinking with the boys. I doubled the chicken, which was almost a mistake. They give you a good serve of chicken on your burger – easily twice what I was expecting. I ended up with twice, again. I ended up unable to finish the burger – but I suspected I might run in to troubles, so I took the extra chicken off at the start and boxed it up for my mates. I can tell you they were overjoyed that I did – β€˜best chicken they’ve ever had’. It’s not just the crunch of the crumbs or the tenderness of the chicken, itself; it has its own flavour that makes it a pleasure to eat by itself but doesn’t distract from the rest of the burger. I did feel there was a little too much coleslaw on the burger; I'll eat it, but I'm not a massive fan. That said, it didn't really distract from the taste of the burger, and it did blend well with the chipotle mayo quite well. On the other hand, the tomato relish was basically non-existent. Maybe they forgot it – either way, I couldn’t taste it. That was a little bit of a disappointment. The cheese and bacon weren't anything to write home about; I probably won't get those addons, again. I was feeling particularly hungry, but found the cheese was a little strong. The bacon was cooked well, but I was a little disappointed that it lacked any real crunch. If you can't tell by now, I love my pickles. Johnny does a damn good pickle - it's got just the right amount of crunch, and just the right amount of juice; and they don't skimp on them, either. Between this and their fried pickles side, Johnny is a great choice for pickle lovers. It is worth noting that burgers automatically come with a side; if your not a pickle fan, there are plenty of other sides to choose from – from the conventional potato or sweet potato fries, to more uncommon options such as mac and cheese or corn on the cob. All in all, it was a great burger. There were a few minor touches that could have been improved, but they went above and beyond in other places. It’s always a treat, at Johnny Bird; worth checking them out, if your nearby. They even have all-you-can-eat nights.

πŸ— FRIED CHICKEN FRIDAY πŸ— * What's going on legends? It's ya boy here Aindog and I'm back at it again for another #friedchickenfriday! This is the first official #fcf for 2019 and I'm so damn pumped! Let's see if I can do this every Friday for the whole year shall we? 😁 * This is my tribute shot to the massively talented fellow fatties that I met up in Sydney last week, who also joined me on a #friedchickenfriday food crawl that took us all over Sydney! Featured in the shot is old mate @foodcoma_eats and new mate @the_fat_red, comparing thigh sizes, who do you think wins? πŸ€” * πŸ” Burger Breakdown πŸ€“ πŸ’³ " Johnny Burger " πŸ” - Fried Chicken πŸ₯— - Pickled Coleslaw πŸ… - Tomato Relish πŸ’¦ - Chipotle Mayo Added: πŸ” - Fried Chicken * πŸ” (7/10) REAL GOOD TIME, ANY DAY OF THE WEEK πŸ” Just so everyone is on the same page, my burger that I'm reviewing is the one at the bottom of the image. The one in the brown guy's hand πŸ˜‚. And had to get the original burger to try out @johnnybirdau the way it's supposed to be! 😁 But I digress let's talk another this Burger! The fried chicken was a tough one to judge for me. On one hand it was massive, had a spectacular crunchy coating and was seasoned perfectly, but on the other hand it was very thin and quite dry. Luckily the burger had a decent amount of sauce and and coleslaw which kept it from being unbearable so ultimately this burger comes down to preference. If you like your chicken very crunchy than this is perfect for you. Sadly for me I prefer mine juicier on the inside. πŸ’πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ * πŸ’Έ=$16 for the single piece of chicken version. I'd say it's worth it as the pieces of chicken are absolutely massive! Also, do yourself a favor and get the fried pickles too, they are amazing πŸ‘ŒπŸΎ * I have to say a massive thank you to the legends in Sydney most specifically to old, backyard burger himself @foodcoma_eats for organizing everything and welcoming me into his burger squad for the day, was a lot of fun and had definitely way too much to eat! * 🧐TLDR= FIRST SYDNEY FRIED CHICKEN FRIDAY WAS LIT FAM! πŸ”₯

Fried chicken, Pickles, coleslaw, tomato relish and chipotle mayo. All round decent chicken burger. The chicken here is super tasty but you dont get enough chicken in the burger. For 16 bucks you get the burger and a free side so it’s pretty good value for money.

This place has been on my chicky list for a while now. Worth the wait! Biggest selection of chicken burgers I’ve seen on a menu. Was very hard to choose. Naturally went for the O.G which included coleslaw! Yessss The chicken was super crispy was good size. The chipotle sauce was unreal. Comes with a free side. I opted for fried pickles which wow were quality. McClures! My mate had the buffalo burger which I had which was fkn richy goodness really nice sauce. Very keen to go again!
