LOST IN TRANSLATION "While not a bad burger, it wasn't the greatest; but they were a bit off around the table, today. If I didn’t know any better, I might not be back." - 🇯🇵🍗 Katsu Fried Chicken - 🇯🇵🍀 Tokyo Slaw - 🇯🇵💦 Bulldog Katsu Sauce - 🇯🇵🥚 Kewpie Mayo I've been eyeing this burger for a while. I like Johnny's. I like katsu. Surely I'd love the Johnny's Katsu burger, but I've always had a funny feeling that I would be disappointed. Apart from the scrumptious chicken, I was. First, the chicken is amazing. The crumbs melt in your mouth as you bite in to it, and it is cooked to perfection. I have to say, they are not as generous with their chicken in this dish as they have been with others in the past. I felt the katsu sauce was too strong. I think I've only had it once, before, so I'm of the opinion that I might not be as agreeable to it as others; especially looking up the popular ingredients. However, I felt there was too much on my burger, as it came on way too strong. I liked the coleslaw, which is strange to anyone that knows me. It was there in the right quantity to compliment the burger, and it had a good variation of colours. I'm told there are people that hate rocket as much as I hate coriander, so for those that do, be warned that the coleslaw does have rocket in it. That said, I had a lot of the rocket by itself, and was disappointed to find it rare to get the strong taste I have grown fond of. No idea what kewpie mayo is; but you can stick a tube of it right in to my arm, that stuff is insane. The right amount of creaminess and tang without taking away from the burger. All in all, it was a decent burger. However, having gone to Johnny's quite a bit, I can say this is still the worst burger I've had from them. That said, given the condition my sides were in, I'm thinking it was more to do with the chef on call, today. This is the first non-Friday that I've ordered from there. I ordered two sides; naturally, I opted for the fried pickles as my free side. You can't screw up fried pickles when they are made like that, but they easily only gave me half of what I'm usually getting. I usually get a box filled to the brim with them. Today, I only got a large handful. I also ordered chips, and I am ashamed to say they were thrown in the bin after I ate two. They were stone cold; admittedly I had to order the food (my work makes it nearly impossible to leave my desk) - but they are less than five minutes away, so this is one time that doesn't fly. The driver got there on time; they had to be cold by the time they were "served" to be that cold by the time they got here. They were also drowned in salt, making them inedible. I have put in a complaint with Uber for a refund on these. To sum up, I would order this burger, again. I would order it without the Katsu, and I would order it on a Friday. It was a pretty decent burger, but it is yet to live up to the standards of the other burgers on the menu.

Lost in translation ‘Katsu’ fried chicken Tokyo slaw Bulldog Katsu Sauce Kewpie Mayo Nice, first review for this place. Despite my lack of details this place is worth checking out. I don't remember how this one tasted exactly unfortunately, but i did enjoy it quite a bit. Nice Mac and cheese as a side as well
