The Juicy Goose is a fairly busy little tucked away cafe in Sydney's South West that is well away from any foot traffic in the industrial area attached to a Go Karting place. If you're not working in the surrounding industrial area it has to be a target destination. They have some of those mega shakes that are oh so popular these days amongst regular cafe fare and sell craft beer. Mah waiife and I both had The Gander. It has Ground Angus beef, bacon, egg, onion, beetroot, tomato, cheese and lettuce, topped with mustard aioli and Porter’s BBQ sauce on a brioche bun. The Gander patty was cooked perfectly, it was tasty with nice texture and bite but could probably use a little bit more seasoning. Everything else was cooked perfectly, and all the INSIDES were nice. The bun though was a problem. Not taste wise. It was nice and soft, but too soft. The integrity of that bun was not up to the task of holding all that delicious filling for the entire meal and fell apart like a chinese motorcycle. The last quarter of the journey was like struggling with the tail end of a poorly wrapped kebab. A tasty, BBQ saucy mess. Delicious, but goddamnit I almost wanted to steal my 10 month olds bib right from around her neck as I looked worse that her eating the neopolitana pasta kids meal. BONUS BURGER (sorta kinda): Mah waiife and I also had their donut icecream sandwiches for 5 bones. This sugar coma inducing treat transformed me into Action Bronson as I exclaimed loudly "Fuck that's delicious!" I had a caramel donut filled with vanilla icecream with sprinkles, and I don't care what that might say about me, 10 out of 10. Would bang. TL:DR Burger is decent Dessert was amazing.
