Kafeine (Balmain)

Katsu chicken Greens Tomato Chilli aioli Probably the best burg I’ve had from Kafeine. I got more sauce on the side as previous burgs have been sauced not so sufficiently. Chicken was pretty sizeable and tasty for a cafe burg. Too much lettuce- would’ve been better without lettuce

Peri peri chicken sandwich on a burger bun I’ve had all the burgers on the menu (except veg) so thought I’d convert a sandwich into a burg. The sandwiches here are much better than the burgs here. Peri peri sauce was nice - not enough though. Chicken nice and juicy No cheese melt - as you can see

🐟 battered fish 🥗pineapple salsa 🥗lettuce 💦tartare sauce The only good thing about this burg was the battered fish. The fish tasted nice but that’s where the positives stop. There was not enough tartare it was only on the bottom bun and the top bun was completely barren of sauce. This made the burger incredibly dry. The pineapple salsa didn’t need to be there. Slaw would’ve been a better choice. This is not a burg I would have again. I was left wanting after this burg. I’m planning on getting a chicken burg from One Day One Life on Friday and the disappointment from this burg will be long forgotten once I devour their seemingly delightful fried chicken.

🍞brioche bun 🐷Pulled pork 🥑 avocado 🌶 jalapeños Black beans 🥬greens Diced Spanish onion 🧀Swiss cheese This burger had lots of pulled pork which is better than not enough but it was not very well constructed. I had to eat some before I picked up the burger properly to chow down on it. There was not enough jalapeños or avocado unfortunately. There was probably only 2-3 slices of jalapeños which is disappointing. The jalapeños would’ve offset the sweetness from the pulled pork glaze. The pulled pork was so delicious it had a great texture and had a nice sweet and salty taste to it. Avocado didn’t need to be on there as it wasn’t hot enough to need it. I couldn’t really taste the Swiss cheese so I’m not even sure it was on the burg haha. The flavour of the pork made up for this burgs’ flaws.

First time having a burger at Kafeine and it didn’t disappoint. The chicken was juicy with a cornflake crumb. The chilli mayo needed to be hotter it just tasted like Mayo sans chilli. It says on the map they are a verified store but I couldn’t find the sticker and the staff didn’t know anything at the Burger collective. Strange.
