Removed 1 x beef from this, thought 2 with the fried chicken might’ve been a bit much. I enjoyed it but could’ve been better. Beef had a lovely char on it, covered with dripping melted American cheese. Nice fat piece of fried chicken, served piping hot. Bacon was crisp. Apart from that, definitely needed some pickles or jalapeños, and there was alooot of the BBQ sauce which because a little overpowering as it was quite sweet. Mac n cheese loaded fries were delicious as were the popcorn chicken bites, violet crumble shake, and donuts.

What a shame. We had such high hopes for this burger and had been dying to check out Milk Bar for ages - their Insta game has always been on point, but this food was just not up to par. The smashed beef patty was sadly dry and lacking flavour. The sticky maple rainbow beef was a little crispy but chewy, and overpoweringly sweet. Also, the bun was nothing special, soft but a tad dry. Whilst there was creaminess from the aioli and slaw, there was no taste of either the bulgogi or kimchi to be found. This made the burger lack the necessary spice/heat to balance the almost sickly sweet maple flavour. The crispy onion and lettuce were also MIA, again lost to the overpowering maple flavour. Unfortunately, it was a burger of one flavour profile which significantly lacked any balance or texture. Onto the chips. Whilst they were super crispy, they were lacking any potato in the middle and were very oily, some even floppy. However, the aioli with the chips was an unexpected delight - free of charge and delicious! Fortunately, the service was very friendly. We were advised that they were only doing Take Away orders as they were finishing up their lunch service, but then they kindly suggested that we sit at one of their outside tables so we could enjoy the meal fresh whilst they closed up.

Okay THIS time they will cross the line. They got away with it the last zillion novel creations and are at their best going full boyle but cheesmores?! Double beef & cheese Onion straws & bacon Toasted Marshmallow Special & cheese sauces Added peanut butter And so it proved. Marshmallow tended to dominate rather than contribute to a whole. Perhaps as fluffernutter spread it could succeed. Otherwise it was a pretty standard double cheeseburger, lifted by special sauce with a great tang that puts it higher than most burger sauces. Far from a train wreck today. The onion rings were as great as ever. Best of all the shake wasn’t so sweet that it needed vinegar for balance.

Fried chicken Aioli Pickles Sriracha maple pour over Sriracha maple bacon I was quickly sucked in after seeing this on instagram even if ish fried chicken was in my avoid category, a cruel irony given those chips. Yet Ish are at their best full bore and I’m a total sucker for novelty. Flavour balance was superb. The sweetness was balanced out by very subtle chili in the coating and sriracha. It was rich without going over the top. The chicken was juicy and redemptive. Crumpets were a solid choice. Their absorption minimised drips and mess. The bun did disintegrate half way, I’d call it a points victory. Like a marvin glaze, you’re probably better off flipping the buns. Onion rings and the thickshake are of course amazing. Overall an amazing package. Ish are rocks and diamonds with their burgers. This was a diamond.

It's been a while since I've had something as heavy as this. Turns out I can't eat as much as I used to but that's probs for the best. This thing is saucy and cheesy as hell. Quite a one dimensional flavour profile, trying to just clog your arteries as quick as it can. The slaw doesn't cut through it one bit. It's really only there for texture. But I mean this isn't the type of burger you'd be ordering if you wanted balance. The chicken is juicy and crispy and the bacon is bacony. What more could you ask for.
