15$ for chips and burger was pretty decent. Loved how the fries were thick and long! Burger was pretty decent as well, great in thickness. The sauce was mysteriously delicious! However, the wagyu was a little dry and would totally liked it if it was done at medium rare. (Wasn't ask re the rarity)

Lunch today was the Canteen Burger with added Fried Chicken. The flavours were great - the combination of the sauce, cheese, and the chicken... yum! Totally recommend adding the chicken patty. Perfect combo of crispy and juicy.

The Melbourne food fest continues. Headed to Fitzroy for a feed at New School Canteen. Couldn't decide what to have but then realised you can't go wrong with a 'classic' burger. The Canteen Burger has wagyu beef, cheese, tomato, lettuce, fresh onion, pickles, mustard, ketchup and 'Canteen sauce'. It was a great burger and considering I wasn't really even hungry I was able to finish it which is always a sign that it's an awesome burger! My only negative critique is that the Canteen sauce was slightly too heavy & not my favourite sauce to have ever had on a burger... and the burger patty had a dense look/texture, but it was cooked well (slightly pink) which is what has lead to the relatively high score. PS. pretty sure the fries were handcut which is always a nice touch.
