My big boy said the cheese was the redeeming feature of this burger. The new owners have been here 3 months so hopefully this is just starting up and thing will improve. Otherwise he did not enjoy the pattie or bacon both over cooked. Both patties where thick but grey through like mine. The bacon was not crispy. We would not go back any time soon. Once again it looked impressive.

My little one had this, he reckons the bun was not up to scratch. The bacon taste like ham (short cut). The crumbed chooked was not totally crumbed. He would not go back even though he would not have to pay.

Usually before I head off to a new part of the country I do a post to find out which burgers are best in the area I’m headed. With this being the only place on the app for miles it was a no 🧠r. The decor was get very American, the burgers where what I expected for a small coastal town. No bad edible but nothing to right home about. The pattie was thick. Probably the thickest pattie I have encountered. It was about 2.5 cm think but grey all the way through. It was a little rubbery. The mustard and tomato relish dominated the burger. It did look impressive. The bacon was short cut and had very little in the way of crunch but it was cook well. Overall a burg to fill the void but not much more.

The full boat, now called the Double Dash. Not a bad effort really. 2 decent sized patties sandwiched with Bacon, cheese, lettuce and onion on a Brioche bun. Great base for flavour. The burger didn't fall apart or get sloppy while I was eating which is always a bonus. Nice balance of flavours from the sauce to the meat. The brioche bun was a nice touch. The patties were a little over done for my taste, me prefering a more medium rather than well done. Worth a crack if you head up to Forster.

Walk in and instant transportation to America. Their menu has changed. I ordered a Dash's with Cheese burger ($12), my mate ordered the Hornet with chips (pictured, $15+3.5). Great balance of flavours, a real ecosystem with all the different ingredients working together. The fresh lemonade ($5) was homemade and reminded me of home. Would definitely recommend!
