Decent burger but not extraordinary. If you’re around the area, it’s the burger place to go to.

R.I.P. PLK Went on the second last day of business, and even though the chicken looks burnt to shit, it still tasted amazing. Gonna miss their beef burgers but the TLC was always a solid choice.

At the venue formerly known as Pub Life Kitchen, eating something close to the late great TLC. The new fried chicken burger (1 of 2 burgers on the new menu) was actually pretty good, but with the spectre of the original TLC hanging over it's head, I was left yearning for the past. I'd be interested in seeing a review from someone who hadn't been to PLK in it's peak though.

So after reading Pub life was shutting down for good I had to have one more burger. The chicken is so nice here but I really like the beef too so I went for the O.G with bacon. I would've gave more if the lettuce was better but the rest was great. The beef was so good and overall a great meal with a nice cold schooie 🍺

Thought I’d try it once more before it shuts up shop for good. The heavy D is a solid bacon cheeseburger. It is what it is and hit the spot. The fries at PLK are tasty as. Be a shame to see it go but for now thank you PLK I enjoyed you for the last time.

One last lunchtime TLC. Even to the last, PLK never disappoints.

Rumour has it that PLK are shutting down and moving out west at the end of the week, so I'm enjoying my usual, while there's still time. One of the best chicken burgers in town.

Pub life kitchen has a strong reputation for producing high quality burgers. However, I believe that I may have eaten an outlying burger because I wasn't won over by the meal. To briefly go into specifics, the mustard and tomato sauce combination was too acidic and therefore, a very sour taste was left in my mouth after each bite. The meat was also on the rarer side of the equation. There were some strong points though. The bun held its own, and the cheese was absolutely on point. I will be giving the pub life kitchen a second chance in a couple of weeks to see whether this burger was just an anomaly.
