Smashed a juicy pub burg last week in the form of a double from the Royal Albert. The beer selection is off tap and the burgers are pretty good! The double is quite huge as the patties are monsters: probably too much for a work lunch... the beef is tasty but the mince texture is kinda crumbly: can’t decide if this is good or bad but it was unique! Bacon, cheese, pickles were all good and the fries, dipped in spicy bbq sauce were top notch. Definitely hit a single next time but the double is such good value!

BAE OF FIRE 2 x Beef Added a Chicken Cheese Bacon Onion Rings Truffle Mayo Chipotle Mayo I have tried this burger in the past without the chicken, it normally goes down very well. However, this time the Flavour felt a bit underwhelming to what I’m used to. The beef and chicken were cooked really well, however the chicken piece wasn’t as big as I’d hoped.

Royale with Cheese (hot, you have to ask) with Dirty Fries (on the side). This is not just a good pub burger, but a very good burger, that it’s available in such a good pub keeps me coming back. Big patty, ask for it rare, well constructed, fresh salad, great condiments, good cheese, soft bun. Addition of Dirty Fries today was a master stroke! The balance of sweet and chilli on that bbq sauce was epic. Lovely, will definitely have it again, again!

Was the “Cheese and Bacon burger With added jalapeños” What an absolutely unexpected fantastic burg! Best way to describe this beauty is it’s a gourmet quarterpounder, the pickle and jalapeños worked well for the freshness, the Bacon even though little of it and broken in to 4 little quarters to spread throughout the burg was up there with some of the best I’ve had and a classic combo of ketchup and american mustard sauces can not be denied! And with a fabulous selection of crafts beers this place has to be added to everyone’s hit list.

Sorry y'all not the best photo. With a name like, "Royale with Cheese" my expectations were pretty high. It was decent. Liked the veggie distribution. 3 thumbs up for the pickle. Burger held together well and tasted nice. However the meat was a little overcooked for my liking and I was sorta kinda expecting more than one cheese slice. Recommendation: rarer beef, bit more cheese and maybe a special sauce because the tomato and mustard combo doesn't scream I want to compete with the big dawgs.
