🍃🐮Plant-based beef 🤔 🧀Cheese 🧀💦Cheese sauce 🥬Lettuce 🍅Tomato 🥒Pickles 🍅💦Tomato relish 🔶Mustard aioli Up until now I've avoided Soul Burger, its "plant-based meat" and its Captain Planet guilt tripping like the plague. But... this burger was actually pretty good and I'd probably go back under the right circumstances. The plant-based beef was entirely unremarkable. It resembled meat only in colour and shape and its flavour was drowned out by the sauce (not a bad thing). The salad bits were fresh and the pickles were full of flavour and crunch. The sauces made this burger - the cheese sauce flowed off the top and the tomato relish sat on the bottom, coating the guts of the burger with every mouthful. The cheese sauce was creamy and the relish was fairly sweet and they tasted really good when mixed together. The bun looks a bit hard and bread-rollish but it was surprisingly soft and soaked up all the sauce well. If this burger wasn't masquerading as beef or if it actually tasted like it, I'd have given a higher score.

*southern fried chicken burger* Soul Burger Parramatta. Just across the road from Brades (where I ate yesterday) is soul burger’s Parra outlet. This is my second visit to sample the plant based burgers. I have to say I was impressed again. Southern fried “chicken” was tip top! Chipotle aoli was great as was the vegan cheese 🧀. I know haters gonna hate but nothing wrong with this joint👍🏼

My first visit to Soul Burger to try their vegan burgers. I must say I was really impressed. Compared to most plant based burgers, this thing was tip top. The vegan cheese + cheese sauce was way above par. The meat free pattie was a great consistency and very much like the real thing. The future is bright.

got this out of curiosity to try plant based meats. Not the biggest sriracha fan to start with, its ok but was relying on the patty. Patty was interesting but not really my thing. doesnt hold like minced meat but wasnt bad either. Edible but not fun. You dont make friends with salad. In saying that it is a decent substitute. If I were to go again I would stick to mushroom.

Before hitting up brades and gdup truck tomorrow thought to myself yeah should probably be healthy today. So the obvious option was vegan burgers after that disgusting 2 week binge. Mushroom burger stood out as all the ingredients were things I enjoy in non burger form. Pesto had nice smell and taste, big mushroom so was fed well. Pretty happy with this but its no meaty cheesy with bacon treat. Body feels like a temple.

I went to the Soul Burger at Parramatta, curious to try out these plant-based burgers. With an open mind, I delved into the chilli beef. The sauce was delish and the bun was soft and fresh. But I gotta say, the plant-based patty was okay. Funny enough, I don't mind the vege burgers at Lord of the Fries, but this one lacked the zing. I respect it because it gives vegans/vegetarians more options to get all burgerlicious but it wasn't for me. (@oliverwinfree)

Today I took the plunge into the world of plant-based burgers. I don't know what it was- maybe the poisonous vitriol spewing from Pete Evans plastic face finally got the better of me. Perhaps it was the fact that the missus has been disgusted with the intensity in which I've been undertaking my recent burg-bender. Whatever it was, I found myself sampling the classic cheese at Soul Burger in Randwick with mixed emotions. I mean, I get it, sustainable living is a big deal, but does it have to come at the expense of good taste? As far as ingredients go, this one had all the hallmarks of a classic cheese, but nothing to take me on that glorious trip to flavour country. For 15 dollarydoos, she'll fill you up, but won't leave any lasting impressions. Perfect for easing you into those 'health-kick' resolutions next New Years without shocking the system into withdrawal. You won't kick the habit though, the call of the Burg is too strong...

The plant based patty had to much celery in it, I'm my opinion it ruined the flavour for me. The red fries however were cooked and seasoned really well, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside with a lovely garlic aioli to accompany it.
