Krispy Kreme Buns. Have you ever heard a more beautiful sentence in your entire life? No? Didn’t think so. These guys are my local, and I know just how damn lucky I am to be able to say that. I was super sceptical of this burger at first but it honestly blew my mind. The way the glaze from the Krispy Kreme donut melts on to the bacon gives it a sweeter hit than maple would. Pair that with the slices of american cheese that seductively melt through the cracks of the perfectly smashed beef patties and you’re guaranteed a good time. Not to mention the staff are excellent and the sides are banging, but we’ll make this one about the burger.

🍩🍩🍩 THE KRISPY D 🍩🍩🍩 🥩 2x Smashed Patties 🧀 2x American Cheese 🍩 2x Krispy Kreme Donuts Well I'm down in Melbourne for work so why not take advantage and try one of Victoria's most iconic burger. To be honest I wasn't that keen to try these awesome smashed patties I've seen so much with donuts as buns but I was completely blown away with how awesome it was. It was just meat and sweet heaven , I thought surly this needed some sauce or pickles or maybe even another beef patty but it was awesome just like this and I think adding another patty would take away the sweetness. I have never experienced smashed patties like this, it like the whole patty was a crusty edge and it was bloody phenomenal. Next level smash 🥰.

Doctor’s orders... . 🍔TRIPLE KRISPY D🍔 . ✅@nickzburgerz Approval Rating 9.4/10 ✅#NICKZBURGERZ . •trip to Melbourne called for a routine check in at St Burgs for the one and only if you know you know🔥 •Triple pattie is a must, the ratio is perfect, the perfect combination of sweet to savoury. The beef goes with the Krispy Kreme’s as 90’s hip hop goes with burger joints🤤🤤cheese melt on point and that bacon is just the icing on the cake 💯💯

This is the most coveted burger in melbourne from us in Sydney. Seen some guys get dupped on the smash but was glad to see mine were more smashed than any I have had before. Hopefully not as smashed as Izzy on Sunday. The big drawback to being so smashed is that they are so thin it doesnt feel very meaty at all. At $5 per extra patty I regret not getting at least 1 more. I'd say every patty you add also adds 0.2 points, so 5 patties possible unicorn. The grass is not always greener on the other side and I can easily say the brades double krispy d shat all over this with the juicier yet still smashed to bits patty and crisp bacon. The shakes here are pretty yim.

29/7/19 This has been a Melbourne bucket list item for a long time and I finally had a chance to head to Maribyrnong to visit St. Burgs and was not disappointed. No beating around the bush, this is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, even if you ignore the novelty of the Krispy Kreme buns. The beef is simply to die for and is a perfect example of how a smashed patty should be cooked.

This was pretty awesome. Not much to add that hasn't already been said about this one. Such a great combo and the smash game was on point. Didn't realise til later that this was a ridiculous $10. P.S. somehow my two day trip that was supposed to include no burgers (according to wife) managed to squeeze in seven 🤣🤣🤣

Had really high expectations for this but sadly the beef let this down. It looks good in the pic with a filter but it didn’t have the beefy flavour this burger needed to be great. I suspect it was because it was literally the first burger off the grill and there were no other customers. Maybe they put some oil or other fat on the grill at the beginning and that affects the smash and doesn’t allow proper Maillard reaction which would give the flavour you want. Also I think they need to rest it more so the glaze melts and combines with the beef juices I had the Krispy Brades from Brades_Burgers-Parramatta a few months ago and that honestly was the first time I had a krispy kreme burger and it blew my mind so I’m guessing there was some sort of issue with that first burg from St Burgs

$10 spesh at St Burgs means a no brainer decision for lunch. It was tough to choose between this or their new Shake Shack tribute menu... but at $10 this is too hard to turn down. It’s not the best Krispy D I’ve had, but an average Krispy D is still insanely good. The Krispy Kreme sweetness paired with the juicy beef is always a winner... The patties weren’t quite as smashed as I’ve had in the past, and the bacon could have been gone a little longer to crisp up.
