Tried out the newest place in Kings Cross, just under where Hugo's used to be, they had a few interesting features and I was very happy. They have beef, chicken, pork and veg burgers each $14 and come with chips, the base burgers are basically meat, salad, sauce, and I added crispy pancetta, cheddar cheese and pickles. Smashed beef patty was very juicy, actually comes as 2 sort of half stacked on each other, sounds awkward, but I guess they build the salad around it as I didn't have any stability issues. They have crispy pancetta instead of bacon, I found the difference to be that the fat provides a very creamy and rich taste and texture. The cheddar cheese also gives a more creamy and bitey flavour than american cheese. Good chips too, cut from potatoes with skin on with a zesty house seasoning. Overall, not the usual burger and I was very impressed, best place in Kings Cross.
