First up the quality of this photo was inversely proportional to the quality of the burger. Apologies to the Diner. A soft fluffy bun giving way to juicy chicken breast coated just perfectly. The pickled ginger cuts through nicely and the sauce with a hint of sesame. Gets better with every bite.

Sunday morning Didn't go quite to plan when I went for a surf and my fin decided to have a bit of a dig at my face. Ended up getting a couple of stitches. Shitty morning called for an epic feed so I cruised up to sunset diner for the katau burger. For some reason the chicken wasnt the normal chicken they use for the katsu (they used their normal fried chicken) but it didn't phase me as it was just as delicious. The combo of the ginger, mayo and bbq sauce is the real deal and makes this burger pop. Love this burger and love this joint.

This burg was just as delicious as I’ve heard. That combination of Japanese bbq with the kewpie and sesame was really tasty and refreshing and the ginger came through and made sure that everything was balanced. So glad I could finally stop by - Sunset had been on my list to try for ages. Will be back for sure sometime Also was nice to meet Ben, looked after me so well today and with a side of truffle fries which were so good. Also yea get those broccoli bites - absolute cracker side

Had this many times before. Crunchy chicken and the bbq/may combo is wicked. The ginger breaks up all the other flavours and adds a bit of zing to the taste buds. It's simple yet there are a number of diff flavours which all work well together. My go to at this joint.

🍗Crumbed chicken 💦Sesame kewpie mayo 🥔Pickled ginger 💦Japanese BBQ 🥒Cucumber pickle Sensational, had high hopes for this and it delivered! Chicken was crunchy and succulent but the rest of the ingredients truly made this epic, kewpie mayo, delicious, pickled ginger and pickle were amazing and the Japanese bbq just sealed it all. Such a nice, simple burger but executed perfectly, would do the 1.5 hour drive just for this, just go and get it.

Second burger was the katsu. Had this a few times now and this one was something special. Think it was because there was a tonne of pickled ginger and this paired with all the other Asian inspired flavours is just banging. If you like good tasting food you should come here and eat their food because it tastes very good. Thank you for reading my review.

Post-3 hour workout with Instaham100. The man definitely knows how to earn his burgers. We don’t usually workout for that long, but it was for Lifeline and supporting mental health. Worth every drop of sweat. Really good feed, excellent Japanese flavours here. Kewpie mayo is a Godsend and ginger on a burger works so well. On my thing I would change is make the chicken a little bit bigger, but overall no complaints. Has anyone hacked this? I’m struggling to think what I would change to enhance this. Side note; fried broccoli was actually reeallly good. Such a good venue, such a good vibe. Get our here when you can.

Fun little surf at bungan called for a tasty treat. Got the katsu burger and added an extra piece of chicken. I think the extra piece was their normal buttermilk chicken which they use for their other chicken burger but I've had both types before and like them both equally so I was cheering with the two slightly different tastes. The chicken is so succulent, and you can serisouly tell that the quality of meat that they use here is top shelf stuff. On that note, the two pieces of chicken I got were solid servings and I left a full and very happy body. Veggies were tasty and the sesame mayo/Japanese bbq sauce combo is a match made in heaven, packing a solid punch to the old tastebuds with each bite. Service here is always epic, the dude managing it (think he is the owner) is friendly to everyone that walks in and is super helpful. The rest of the staff there are the same and the place just has such a mad vibe to it. Hands down the coolest spot to grab a beer, milkshake and/or a burger on the beaches.
