The Burger Joint is always my go to for a good old fashioned Aussie style burg. Well priced, reliable and with that old milkbar style nostalgia on the taste buds. cant go wrong

I was around the Paddington area, so I ventured to The Burger Joint (since I went to That Burger Joint last week haha) They boasted old-school milk-bar burgers and they delivered on that front. This was the cheese and bacon burger and the highlight was those grilled onions, mixed in with the melted cheese, what a delight. The patty had that crispness around the edges too, chargrilled goodness. Yet it lacked a killer blow, a nicer sauce or perhaps less lettuce may have tilted this into the 4's or higher. Still, it's a solid burger.

Craving an old school Aussie burger today so off to my go to for that... the Burger joint in Darlo. Get to the shop and its all boarded up and apparently they have moved, fear not its just around the corner so off I go. Get to the new joint and it's pretty chokers... I guess the move to the busier st has paid dividends for the guys. I get takeaway and head back to the office and pull out the chips that are always epic and crunchy and they are soggy as. Not a good sign never had a bad experience with there chips. Onto the burger. it looks the goods as usual and it tasted awesome as well but a bite into and I realise that they have rorted me outted beetroot... those sadistics fuckers... not the first time its happened there and im sure the influx of people in there cause a memory laps from the chef none the less it brings the score down a couple of notches as beetroot is that main reason I crave Aussie burgs. still a very solid and tasty effort apart from the shithouse chips.

ahh I do have a weak spot for old school milk bar style Aussie burgers and the Burger joint in Darlo is becoming a regular go to for me to grab one. Huge burgers, Non pretentious or ridiculous, what you see is what you get and at a solid price cannot fault them.
