🐮Angus smoked beef brisket 🧀Melted cheese 🥗Slaw 🥒Fat pickle 💦Hickory smoked mayo ⚪Chopped onions The brisket on this burger was moist and rich in flavour, delicious. There wasn't much bbq flavour but that's a good thing as it only needed a little to complement the beef. The pickles gave a nice zing to cut through the rich beef, and the slaw provided a refreshing crunch to contest the tender meat.

Dulwich Hill has always been one of those places I could never quite place on a map (forgive me, I’m from Queensland). Thankfully today trusty Waze lead @kieran and me to meet @thanos at the always welcoming @Eate! I’d been here once before, I tried their truffle burger, I loved it. I honestly don’t know the reason I hadn’t been back but we made up for it today- there was no shortage of food. I was tempted to get the truffle again but leant towards the brisket instead. Until the burger came to the table, I was assuming there was a beef patty coming on this - there wasn’t but it certainly didn’t need it. The hero here is obviously the brisket - super moist, tender and oh so smoky. All done in house too, the smell of this place is insane, you gotta visit to believe it. There are also pickles which I’m pretty sure are done in house, I haven’t seen them before and they certainly taste home made (in the right way). I can’t quite remember what the sauces are but they add to the experience. The quiet achiever here though is the bun. Holy shit it’s good, super plush and holds together amazingly. We tried to find out the source but it remains a secret for now! Side note - the sides are as good as the burgers. Yes, Dulwich Hill used to elude me, but The Eate puts it on the map.

Weird burger. Doesnt feel like the right brisket for a burger. The buns, cheese and slaw take away from the beautifully rubbed meat. On its own the brisket is meatstock bbq quality, ended up eating it as a side. In the burger as tender as it is it has a dry taste. It smells so good but the flavours didnt come out for me until I took the meat out.

🐮 brisket 🧀double American cheese 🥒fat pickle 💦hickory smoked mayo chopped onion 🥩beef patty This is far and away the best burger I’ve had, it was absolutely phenomenal. This is my second 🦄 but it’s my first real one in terms of flavour, the other was coz I was getting caught up in the hype of using the app more regularly. I asked the guy serving me if I could get any freebie and he said I could have a free double up so I got the brisket burg with an added beef patty and he looked at me with these ‘what on earth are you doing face’. When my burg came out I understood! There was almost an entire cows worth of beef brisket on this burg. The taste of this brisket was out of this world. It was just so soft and fell apart as you bit into each piece. Some of the brisket fell out of the burger and I finished those at the end on their own which confirmed the perfect brisket flavour. The beef also had its place, it was tasty and charred with just the right amount. I was surprised that I could taste the beef with the sheer amount of brisket on the burg. The cheese melt was wicked as expected given the menu said ‘melted cheese’. The slaw & pickles provided welcome relief from the meatiness of this burg. The hickory smoked mayo was also a winner. Overall just an epic burger, what a decision to go here.
