A significant improvement from the last burger I had here. Thick cut chicken schnitzel, spicy tomato sauce, lots of ham, lots of gooey cheese and two well toasted buns. This was a nice burger with good flavour. Still over priced at $22 even though it was large but I’m happy with the improvement.

'The Hungover' +Sriracha Thursdays are $12 burger days, so pretty decent value here for a large brekky burg and chips. The patty was good enough to fill the spot, but the supporting cast of egg, hash brown and aioli are where the value kicks in. I would feel ripped off at the menu price of $22, but would return on a Thursday for $12.

**Actually Three Little Pigs Burger** 🐷 BBQ pulled pork shoulder 🐷 Grilled pork belly 🥓 Bacon 🧀 Monterey Jack cheese Team had a home game so we ended up at the Greengate Hotel to celebrate a big victory. New special looked ok so I had a go. Oh. My. God. I have never been so disappointment in a burger. I’m not sure if they just messed up mine but have a look at the pic in the comments for the inside. Massive buns that dominated each bite, virtually no fillings and undercooked bacon. The only reason it’s getting 0.5 is because the grilled pork belly was well cooked. I’m fairly sure they also missed putting any pork belly on it but I didn’t notice until later. For $22 I will never buy this burger again. I hope it disappears from the menu entirely.

**Actually the special: Schnitty Burger** 🍗 Schnitty 🧀 Monterey Jack cheese 🍅 Pickled green tomatoes 🥬 Spinach 🥑 Avocado cream 🌶 Chilli aioli This was a step up from the last burger I had at The Greengate. Kudos to them for upping their game. A classic pub schnitty combined with awesome avocado cream were the highlights of this burger. Cheese was lacking but provided good flavour overall. Spinach is sooooo much better than lettuce so a win in my books. Negatives were the bun (poor quality and thick), poorly put together and quite small. Couldn’t taste the chilli aioli at all which was disappoint as I love a bit of heat in my food. Will continue eating burgers from this place regardless of the quality. I can’t help it, it’s the local!!!

Pub food is always hit and miss and the beef burger at the local pub is a big miss. It sounded so good on the menu and I’m a bit dumbstruck as to how you mess up such a simple burger. Undercooked bacon, over cooked beef, no cheese melt and a lack of sauce made me question my relationship with the venue. I really don’t understand why it all went wrong...they only have 4 burgers on the menu!!! Maybe stick to the schnitty if you’re ever in the area - would NOT recommend.
