This was a good item to get a feel for how the restaurant does a burger - hence it lived up to the name. The milk bun was soft, the beef juicy and not cooked rock hard while the sauce and cheese were a nice compliment. Having picked up takeaway, the only slight downside was that the burger was only warm when I got to eat it and not hot. It’s a shame the restaurant had no nearby parking.

Decent burger I guess.. Was frustrating because for some reason mimo burger became available on DD on to find out it was a mistake. That meant I was hangry when this came... First time ordering a double on delivery and it was much warmer than normal +1 The chips though. In a plastic bag 🤦🏼♂️ you’ll be depositing them straight in the bin once they arrive so don’t bother ordering them

🐮Beef patty 🧀Cheese 🥒Pickles ⚪Onion 🔶Mustard 🔴Ketchup The fifth and final stop of The Grand Burger Collective International Burger Day Express Bus was for cheeseburgers at The_Secret_Burger_Societyin Randwick. The last time I was here I was hugely impressed by the quality of the smashed patties and this cheeseburger didn't disappoint either. The beef was excellent. Smashed to a rough, crispy disc of beefy goodness and the flavour was top-notch. Unbeatable value for $5 today. The cheese was extra-melty and the pickles were juicy. The milk bun was great but became a bit of a struggle, being the fifth of the day (I only have the energy to write this because I rested on the bus between #4 and #5 and then passed out for two hours when I got home). Big thanks to Ross Kemp on Burgers 🍔 for not slipping into a burger coma at the wheel and killing us all today. It wasn't an unrealistic possibility. 😴

🍔 International Burger Day - The_Secret_Burger_Society🍔 And here it is, the last burger on our International Burger Day Burger Bus Bender. By this point in our day I don’t think anyone was expecting their 5th burger to go down as well as this. The smashed patty is out of this world and funnily enough, there’s a secret behind why, you’ll need to ask Simon though, I’m not letting that out. The pickles were great and the buns was good too. And with this final IBD review I bid ye farewell, for I am going to going to go die in a corner 😅

Last burg of the day (burger number 6). Had a bit of a lie down in the bus which probably helped me recover a little. Honestly Secret Burger Society is probably the best smashed beef patty in Sydney in my opinion. I like DWS but this isn’t as salty and is better balanced as a result. Great caramelisation and crust and still juicy. Super simple but really well executed

Got the cheeseburger. Despite this being the 5th and final burger if the burger bus tour it was a great surprise. Super tasty with great smashed patties and pickles. Nice way to end the day 👌

Kieran guess you’re a bit of an influencer, because as soon as I saw your review I knew I had to get one today (this was one of three burgers I had, two beef, one chicken). This is the best cheesy I’ve had all year for sure. The smashed beef was next level. I’m trying Dee Why Social tomorrow so keen to see how that rates but wow this place did really well.
