The burger was decent but nothing exceptional. The beef patty was over cooked and not up to the quality of the elite burger restaurants. It wasn’t bad by any means, but not one I’d be in a hurry to go back for.

Austramericasian fusion is brewing in city of Sydney. This joint has got some American style #steamedhams fresh out of a Tokyo lab, but as technically simple as they look, they’ll still make you fat. 😉🍔 1 x Ume Burger, 1 x Double Cheeseburger, 1 x Cheeseburger @umeburger 🍔📸 The fusion between the Japanese and American burgs at #ume is only subtle. It does add some complex flavours to your OG burger taste buds, but it’s still something your used to. It’s an experience kind of like finally understanding how the elliptical works for the first time since you joined the gym. But it’s still nothing too intense or game changing to work off that burger belt of chub on your milk bun looking gut . 😉👹 My point is it’s familiar, like I’m just saying don’t expect a sushi burger with buns made of matcha. The UME Burger. It’s clear at this joint that your really paying for a mouthful of the buns, which to some people may not sound too fun. But I tell you what, there’s nothing funnier than finding out how many bites it will take until your choppers sink in to that signature beef patty and wagyu mince sauce that somehow makes this burger worth almost $15. Nevertheless, once you got to the patty, you’re nothing but happy, and then you realize all that bread was just the first 2 acts of the movie before a #worthit finale #endgame. 👌🏻😭 The Cheeseburger. Both the single and the double we’re as iconic and classic as the name entails. With a bit of elevated flave from those rice vinegar pickles, this tasted more unique than the average steamed ham. 👌🏻 Quick Big ups to the fries though too! The umami seasoning which was no secret, makes these disappear faster than your outtie belly button with just some finger lickin and crumb picking by the end of it all. Best burger I’ve had on that side of the cbd for sure. However, The best advice would be to not go into the joint with expectations of a Japanese style burger. This is a humble American burger spot that sells Japanese sodas and has some Asian flare. The burgs host some premium and unique ingredients that are refreshing and stylish, but expectedly expensive being in #barangaroo. Nevertheless this place has us eager to come back once we’ve all gotten a raise. 🤤 7.5/10 🍔👆🏻

Very impressed with my cherry-pop at Ume! Pattie was ever so slightly pink and on the drier side, which in combination with the sauce and buttery bun made sense. I found the texture of the burger to be very pleasant, each ingredient held it's own and melted in the mouth. Added bacon, because bacon. My partner in crime had the Fish Katsu and I'm going to have to write it it's own review later, possibly best fish burger I've even stolen a bite of. If you've never had Ume chips YOU MUST! The umami seasoning is so original and morish!

🍔Classic cheeseburger 🥩Signature beef patty 🧀Cheese 🥦Lettuce 🌰Onion 🥒Rice Vinegar pickles 🍔Ume’s Special sauce 🥓Bacon (added) Had this at Burgapoolza and loved it so much I had to have it again. Those rice vinegar pickles are the bomb, added bacon and that was so crisp. The special sauce was creamy but had a nice sour taste. Loved having lettuce and tomato in the burger and it was just the right amount, I find most places either go overboard with the lettuce or under, Ume do the balance well. One of the best cheeseburgers going.
